Our most popular pad. A dense felt top layer cushions the rug and absorbs impact, while a natural rubber bottom grips the floor without adhesives or chemicals. Safe for all hardwood finishes including oil-rubbed and high-gloss.
Best for luxury vinyl & LVP
Luxury vinyl plank and LVP floors require a non-plasticized pad — standard rubber can react with vinyl and cause permanent staining. Our thin grip pad is specifically formulated to be safe on these surfaces while still providing excellent grip.
Best for high-traffic areas
For living rooms, hallways, and dining rooms that see heavy daily traffic. A thicker felt construction absorbs more impact, reduces noise, and provides noticeable cushioning underfoot. Extends rug life significantly in busy households.
Best for rugs placed on carpet
Placing an area rug over wall-to-wall carpet without a pad causes constant shifting and bunching. Our over-carpet pad uses a waffle-grip construction that anchors the rug to carpet without damaging the carpet fibers underneath.
A pad that's the wrong size defeats the purpose. Too small and the rug edges curl. Too large and the pad shows and bunches. We cut every pad 1 inch smaller than your rug on all sides — so the pad is invisible and the rug lies perfectly flat.

The wrong pad can. Cheap rubber pads can discolor hardwood and vinyl floors over time. Our pads use natural rubber or non-plasticized materials specifically chosen to be safe for your floor type. We'll recommend the right pad based on your floor.
A quality felt and rubber pad typically lasts 5 to 10 years. We recommend inspecting your pad each time your rug is cleaned. If the rubber is crumbling or the felt is matted flat it's time to replace it.
Yes — this is actually the best time to get a new pad. We cut it to the correct size at our facility and deliver it with your clean rug. Everything arrives together, already sized and ready to place.
Always 1 inch smaller than your rug on all sides. So an 8×10 rug gets a pad roughly 7'10" × 9'10". This keeps the pad hidden under the rug and prevents the edges from curling or tripping hazards at the border.
